Bo Nix gets curtain call with Oregon pounding Liberty in Fiesta Bowl
Oregon quarterback Bo Nix put on a show in the final game of his college career Monday afternoon against Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl.
The senior completed 28 of 35 passes for 363 yards and five touchdowns in the 45-6 victory, while earning MVP honors.
With about 10 minutes remaining in the game, Bo Nix exited the field for the final time. He exchanged hugs with his teammates and received a loud ovation as he left for the sideline.

Bo Nix had quite the college career and will now take his talents to the NFL.
He started off at Auburn and had his share of struggles, before transferring to Oregon and becoming one of the best quarterbacks in college football.
Nix finished this year with 4,508 passing yards and 45 touchdowns, to only three interceptions. He also rushed for 234 yards and six scores and was named a Heisman finalist.
Nix was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year this season. In addition to being a Heisman finalist, he was also a finalist for the Maxwell Award and Davey O’Brien Award.
In 2022, Nix also had a really good year, accounting for 4,103 yards and 44 touchdowns.

Instead, he chose to play in it and had an incredibly impressive performance.
After trailing 6-3 following the first quarter, Nix and the Ducks let it fly. There was no stopping that freight train as Nix was as dominant as he was all season.
He spoke with ESPN down on the field following the game.
“It’s meant the world,” Nix told sideline reporter Kris Budden about playing with this specific group. “You know, it’s just such a great opportunity for me to be able to come out here and play with such an incredible team. The coaches that we have and the year that we had, you know … I couldn’t wait for this game to get out here and to play one more time.
“With my college career … I wouldn’t have been here without those guys, so it was the least I could do to show my appreciation.”
Oregon finished the season 12-2. The Ducks had one of the most dominant offenses in college football, led by Nix.
