Boise State launches Ashton Jeanty's Heisman Trophy campaign ahead of 2024 season
Boise State has officially launched running back Ashton Jeanty‘s Heisman Trophy campaign for the 2024 college football season.
Last season, Jeanty became the Mountain West’s leading rusher with 1,351 yards and doubled that up by being the conference’s all purpose yardage leader totaling 1,920 yards in 2023. He earned All-American honors and was named conference player of the year for his efforts.
He led the nation in missed tackles (106), yards after catch (621), yards after contact (4.52) and first downs recorded (96). The hard-to-tackle junior running back will look to add to those totals in Boise this season.
“How do you leave a legacyt at a program known for greatness?” he asked in his campaign reveal video. “Where others have shown that the path forged is earned, not given. Breaking through expectations and leaping to new heights with a blue collar mentality. You have to be built different.”

“Ashton Jeanty is the latest Bronco to carry on the tradition of elite Boise State running backs,” the front page of his campaign reads. “The All-American and Mountain West Player of the Year is must-see TV as soon as he touches the ball. He plays like he has all the video game cheat codes – Jeanty can hurdle, juke, stiff arm and outrun a multitude of opposing defenders.
“A self-proclaimed “Bronco for Life”, the junior epitomizes what it means to be #BuiltDifferent. He returned to Boise State this season to leave a legacy and has every tool necessary to do so.”
Jeanty will look to kick off his campaign on a high note against Georgia Southern in the season opener on Saturday. However, a matchup against No. 3 Oregon in Week 2 serves as the first chance he’ll have showcase his skills on a national level this season.
