Boston College offers TCU 4-star commit Jaylon Guilbeau
Boston College extended an offer Tuesday to TCU commit Jaylon Guilbeau, two days after the Horned Frogs and head coach Gary Patterson mutually agreed to part ways.
The four-star cornerback out of Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial has not said anything about Patterson leaving the program. He did, however, subtweet the situation Sunday night by tweeting four thinking emojis.
Guilbeau is the top recruit in TCU’s recruiting class. He is the 148th-best player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Jaylon Guilbeau was a Texas pledge earlier in his recruitment. He committed to the Horned Frogs on Sept. 26.
TCU’s recruiting class is at an inflection point
Patterson’s dismissal was bound to result in changes to the Horned Frogs recruitng class, and those decommitments and reopens have come quickly.
TCU had 11 commits as of Sunday. Four players have announce changes to their recruiting status since Monday morning.
Saraland (Ala.) three-star defensive lineman Trevon McAlpine started the movement with his decommitment Monday.

Houston Klein Cain four-star wide receiver Matthew Golden then decommitted later that day. Golden is No. 232 recruit in the On3 Consensus and the No. 74 ranked player in the 2022 On300. He has since received an offer from Texas.
“Having the relationship that I had with Coach Patterson played a big role in my commitment,” Golden told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “Seeing the head coach resign caught me off guard because I would have never thought it would be him. With that being said, me and my family felt that it was best for me to take a step back and re-open my recruitment.”
Gladewater (Tex.) wide receiver DJ Allen also announced Monday he was reopening his recruitment but specified he was not decommiting from the Fort Worth, Texas, school.
West Monroe (La.) three-star safety Ja’dais Richard also reopened his recruitment Tuesday but did not specify whether he was decommitting or not.
