Boston College trolls Notre Dame with viral meme after win
On Monday, Boston College hosted Notre Dame for an ACC clash where, on the back of an excellent second half performance, the Eagles came from behind to win. After the game, the Eagles took to social media with a troll job of the Irish.
The BC Men’s Basketball account edited a popular meme, which shows a man’s new profile picture and a couple of comments. In the comments, he’s told to smile more, but replies, “Nothing to smile about in my life.” In this version of the meme, though, the Eagles edited it so that the man is the Notre Dame leprechaun.

The Eagles went into the locker room trailing by seven points but rallied in the second half to end up winning by four points. That was, largely, on the back of an excellent defensive effort that second half by Boston College. Enjoying the glow of that come from behind win, the Eagles fired off this post.
The Eagles had two double digit scorers on the day, Quinten Post and Jaeden Zackery. With three assists, Zackery led Boston College there for the day. The Irish also had two double digit scorers, Markus Burton and Braeden Shrewsberry.
Interestingly, Notre Dame shot a higher percentage from three and from the field overall than Boston College. The Irish also had 16 more rebounds during the game. However, 14 turnovers to only three by the Eagles became too much to overcome.
With the loss, Notre Dame fell to just 7-11 on the season. The Irish are also 2-5 in ACC play. Boston College, for its part, moved to 11-6 overall and 2-4 in conference.

Micah Shrewsberry searching for answers on Notre Dame’s second half struggles
Once again, Notre Dame struggled in the second half of a game, getting outscored by Boston College 34-23 in the second half. For the Irish, it was a fifth straight game getting outscored in the second half.
Ahead of the game, Notre Dame head coach Micah Shrewberry admitted he was searching for answers about how to fix this ongoing problem.
“We’ve changed our halftime locker room routine, we’ve changed when I go talk to the team, we’ve tried playing music at halftime. Right? I don’t know what it is. It’s our guys just being able to have somebody grab us and pull us all together before we go back out there and say, ‘Come on. This is it. This is our push and our chance to start well,’” Shrewsberry said.
“We’re just not doing it. Maybe we don’t need to go out at all and we just stay out there. Warm up, talk on the bench like a YMCA team or something but I don’t have an answer for that right now. We’re trying different things. We’re trying to do stuff. Like, Tae [Davis] being hurt limits who you start, who you play, and how you rotate. So, that hurt us a bit with changing personnel. I’m gonna start cutting up oranges and giving them to people.”
