WATCH: Bowling Green OL Bronson Warner ejected from Quick Lane Bowl after second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty
Bowling Green right guard Bronson Warner received his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty toward the end of the third quarter of the Quick Lane Bowl against New Mexico State.
The BGSU OL had some choice words for an Aggies defensive lineman at the end of a play. A referee intervened and before they were pulled apart, Warner grabbed the NM State defender by the facemark, which ultimately drew the flag and cost his team 15 yards.
Warner’s first unsportsmanlike conduct penalty came in the first half when once again, Warner ran his mouth to an Aggies defender after his QB Matt McDonald was injured and had to leave the game.
Catch the final quarter live on ESPN as Bowling Green trails NM State 24-10, looking to mount a likely improbably comeback.

“Sources: FAU is hiring Charlie Frye as the school’s offensive coordinator,” Thamel wrote on Twitter. “Frye is a former NFL quarterback, NFL QB coach and worked at various high schools in Florida. He worked at University if Florida as director of player development. Frye is expected to be FAU’s play caller.”
Florida Atlantic just hired Tom Herman, the former Texas Longhorns head coach, to the same role ahead of the 2023 season.
Frye began his coaching career in 2012 as the offensive coordinator at Jones High School (Fla.) through the 2013 season before going to Wekiva (Fla.) for 2014-15.
Frye joined the Florida Gators for two seasons in 2016 and ‘17 as the Director of Player Development before coaching wide receivers at Ashland in 2018. In 2019 and ‘20, Frye coached at Central Michigan as the offensive coordinator before going to the Miami Dolphins as the quarterback’s coach in 2021. Frye played his college football at Akron from 2001-04.
