WATCH: Bronny James gets LeBron hyped with first bucket, hits from NBA range on second
The future of basketball is on display this week with the McDonald’s All-American Game taking place on Tuesday night, and it’s hard to discuss the future of basketball without talking about Bronny James.
The son of NBA legend LeBron James, Bronny is suiting up for the West in the McDonald’s All-American Game.
And he didn’t take long to make his presence felt.
In the first quarter of the game, James opened fire from beyond the arc for the West team and made it count. He fired another bucket in just minutes later from deep downtown, both of which brought instant praise from LeBron sitting courtside.
You can check out his first bucket below, followed by the deep shot.
Where is Bronny James headed?
On the big stage on Tuesday night, Bronny James is the lone uncommited prospect in the game. A handful of schools already boast multiple McDonald’s All-American game commitments.
But James remains uncommitted, one of the nation’s top prospects.
According to the On3 Consensus recruiting rankings, James checks in as the No. 27 overall player in the class. He’s also ranked as the No. 5 combo guard in the class.

But On3 itself is actually substantially higher on James as a prospect than the rest of the industry. On3 has James as a five-star prospect and the No. 9 overall player in the country in his class.
The current recruiting prediction machine has James projected to Ohio State with a 95.5% projection rate.
Bronny James turns heads in dunk contest
Prior to competing in Tuesday night’s game at the McDonald’s All-American Game week festivities, Bronny James also got a chance to compete in the annual dunk contest.
James nearly stole the show with three distinct jams.
He started out with a two-handed, sideways windmill to start the dunk contest before going on to do a more traditional one-handed windmill. He finished it up with a jam over his little brother, Bryce, to round out his dunk contest.
Duke commitment Sean Stewart came away as the dunk contest winner.
Still, you can view one of Bronny James’ dunks below.
