Bru McCoy, Squirrel White injury update: Vols WR's status revealed on Wednesday Florida-Tennessee injury report
Florida and Tennessee are set to renew their rivalry in a game that is critically important for both teams, albeit for wildly different reasons. So the injury report looms quite large.
Tennessee is coming off its first loss of the season, still entertaining College Football Playoff aspirations. To get there, the Volunteers will have to bounce back and prove they’re still a top-tier team nationally.
Florida has been on a very different trajectory. The Gators started the season 1-2, bringing the calls for coach Billy Napier‘s head in his third season to a deafening roar. They’ve since quieted the noise a touch, getting to 3-2 ahead of the road trip to Knoxville.
Regardless, it’s clear that this game will be vital to both interests.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the first injury report of the week with Wednesday’s release.

One thing that will be interesting in Saturday’s showdown in Neyland Stadium is which team shows up for Tennessee. The Volunteers were downright explosive offensively in the first three games of the season, averaging 63.7 points per contest.

Since then, in SEC play, Tennessee has averaged just 19.5 points per game.
Can quarterback Nico Iamaleava find his groove again and get back in sync? Will the injury report allow some key guys to return? There might not be a better opponent to do it against than Florida.
The Gators will enter Saturday’s game sporting the nation’s No. 74 scoring defense and No. 96 total defense. But things have been better of late for Florida, with the defense finding at least some answers in recent weeks.
In any case, it figures to be an intriguing contest. And the injury report will bear monitoring as gametime gets closer.
Florida and Tennessee will meet at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, with a national broadcast slated for ESPN.
