Bryson Daily injury update: Army QB's status vs. North Texas revealed
Army QB Bryson Daily will return Saturday against North Texas after missing the Air Force game, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
“Sources: Army quarterback Bryson Daily will return against North Texas today and will start for the No. 25 Cadets,” Thamel wrote. “Daily missed the team’s win over Air Force last week with an undisclosed injury.”
Army is ranked No. 25 in the country and currently undefeated at 8-0. The Black Knights are in the thick of things when it comes to the College Football Playoff.
According to sources, Daily has “looked like himself” since he returned to practice,” Thamel wrote. “But there’s some concern, according to sources, about his ability to play a full game coming off a two-week stretch where he only took part in one practice and one walk-through.”

Daily hasn’t thrown it much this year but has been great on the ground for Army’s rushing attack. He has 138 carries for 909 yards, 19 touchdowns and 6.6 yards per carry. Through the air, Daily is 27-of-47 passing for 629 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Bryson Daily to return vs. North Texas
Now that Daily is back, the Army offense could operate at full capacity. As long as the QB can manage his undisclosed injury, Army should look at a 9-0 record after the weekend.
What could help is the emergence of running back Kanye Udoh. A sophomore out of Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep, Udoh has 115 carries for 791 yards, nine touchdowns and 6.9 yards per carry. He already surpassed his totals as a freshman.
Army and North Texas kick off in the Lone Star State at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
