The USC Trojans are battling the LSU Tigers on ABC on Sunday night, before a nationally televised audience. And Trojans’ wideout Kyron Hudson made one of the plays of the year, when he hauled in an insane one-handed grab where he rotated his body in midair. Social media caught fire after the catch, as you might imagine.

And one of the people that chimed in on it was the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner for USC, Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. He tweeted, “10 you’re insane @kyron_hudson”.

The play by Hudson ended up being critical in guiding the Trojans to the first score of the game. USC eventually went up 7-0 and Hudson’s catch was a huge play on that drive. The Trojans’ defense has looked impressive early on, making a couple of stops in the first two quarters of play.

After the Trojans scored, LSU quickly marched the ball back down the field and Garrett Nussmeier connected with Kyren Lacy on a beautiful 19-yard touchdown toss. Both offenses started to pick things up in the second quarter. USC went up 10-7 with 4:21 left in the first half after they connected on a field goal from Michael Lantz. Both quarterbacks were playing pretty well in the first half, with some pretty accurate throws from Nussmeier and Miller Moss. LSU tied the score at 10-10 with 1:08 left in the first half, thanks to a field goal from Damian Ramos.

Lantz missed a kick at the end of the first half that could have put USC up 13-10, but missed it to the right. The score at halftime was tied, 10-10.
