The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.
About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value
While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.
The On3 NIL Valuation accounts for an athlete’s roster value and brand value. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. Brand value factors in an athlete’s personal brand and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
Wilson a standout at Holiday Hoopsgiving
On3’s Jamie Shaw recently recognized Caleb Wilson as one of the top performers at the annual Holiday Hoopsgiving in the Atlanta area:
Physically, Caleb Wilson looks the part. He is every bit of 6-foot-9 with good length and a projectable frame. Watching Wilson at this point in his career arc, the defense is the standout attribute. So much so that Wilson is in the conversation as the top defensive player in this 2025 recruiting cycle.
Wilson has fluid athleticism with loose hips, able to slide his feet with perimeter-based forwards while switching down a line up and disrupting things on the block and act as a weak-side shot blocker. Wilson has excellent timing as a defensive disruptor which quickly gets him switching ends and into transition.
Offensively, Wilson is going to have to continue working on his “bag.” His best offense is when others create for him and he is able to play off one and two dribbles. His quickest path to success might be as a three-and-d-type floor spacer, knocking down shots from the corner. While his jump shot does currently have a hitch, which will need to be cleaned up, his base footwork and release are consistent. Wilson affects winning with consistent positive plays.
Scouting Report
“Caleb Wilson has a great frame, good length and natural pop. He plays really well in a phone booth, efficient movements in tight spaces, shows the footwork to shake free with the ball in the half court. He’ll need to continue getting stronger, which will help his base and balance. He is explosive around the basket, has go-to comfort over his left shoulder with patience. Can push the break and plays with pace. He has a vast array of offensive moves, at multiple levels. He is still learning his body and still gaining strength, this will only help his consistency. Tracking as one of the top players in his class.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
