Caleb Wilson is the No. 9 player in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-9 forward is playing up in age on the Nike EYBL Circuit with the Georgia Stars this summer. He is averaging 19.0 points and 6.0 rebounds heading into this weekend’s session.

“I play like a combo forward role,” Wilson told On3. “I can shoot the three, can shoot off the dribble, I’m a very good passer, and defensively I can play perimeter and interior defense. I’ll watch a lot of Nikola Jokic. He’s been my favorite player since his rookie year. I love his passing and his play-making. A lot of people say that is what is best about me. I watch how he comes down the floor, surveys the court, and sets his teammates up. I try to put that into my game.”

On3 caught up with Atlanta, Georgia native Caleb Wilson at the recent Nike EYBL Session to talk recruitment.

Wilson talks recruiting

“I have offers right now from Alabama, Missouri, Georgia, and some others,” Wilson said. “I’ve only been on an unofficial visit to Georgia so far.”

Georgia: “I went to a football game there. It’s a football school, that atmosphere was loud, it was crazy. The facilities were pretty impressive. As a player, you can have the most talent in the world, but it’s about how you develop that talent. I loved their facilities, as I’m sure I will with other schools as I get out to see them.

“I watched them a couple of times on tv this season, and I like how they play. Coach (Mike) White plays within a system, but that system allows his players to play with freedom.”

Alabama: “I like Alabama because of their coach. But Brandon Miller this year, I watched him. I feel like I could play like him if I continue to work on my perimeter skill set; I like how they used him. I don’t like to compare myself to anyone, but I can see some similarities there.”

Missouri: “Coach CY (Young) has a good relationship with my dad. I want to get up there, give them a chance. It’s SEC basketball, so things are very physical. The SEC is a conference I like because I think it’ll prepare me for the next level. That is a conference that is going to force me to get stronger, be in great condition, and play physical defense.”

“We’re starting to hear from some Blue Bloods now,” Wilson said. “Oregon has been in contact recently, Kentucky, and some schools in Florida. Duke and UNC were at my games this weekend. We’ll see where things go.”

In his words

“I have given the pro option a little bit of thought, but it’s too early for that now. That is something we’ve talked about, and how serious we are will depend on where I’m at next year. I feel like I’m going to be a pro in a couple of years, no matter which way I go. We know God has a plan.

“I’d like to see if I can stay closer to home. I’m fine with going across the country, but I want my parents to be able to see me play. Especially if I’m going to be a pro.

“I want to go to a school that is somewhat academically inclined and a school that is going to allow me to play my style of basketball. If I can pass the ball and make good decisions. My whole thing that I’m looking for is to be able to make at least 25 decisions with the ball in a game. Whether that be a pass, or a shot, or anything, I want to be able to make 25 to 30 decisions that affect each game.”
