4-star RB Cameron Cook names top 6
Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point 2023 running back Cameron Cook is down to six schools, he announced Sunday afternoon on Twitter.
Making up Cook’s top six are: Oregon, Penn State, Kansas State, California, Texas and TCU.
Cook is a four-star prospect ranked No. 306 nationally according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the No. 20 running back in the class of 2023.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) has Texas leading the way for Cook at 42.0% while TCU sits in second place at 13.0%. Finalists Penn State and Oregon each have a 9.3% chance to land Cameron Cook’s commitment.

Longhorns have options at running back for 2023
El Campo (Texas) four-star running back Rueben Owens is the top tailback target for Steve Sarkisian’s staff in 2023 and the in-state Longhorns lead the way according to the RPM. Fellow Texan Waco (Texas) DeSoto running back Tre Wisner committed to the Longhorns Saturday after taking a visit to Austin this weekend.
Sonny Dykes building first full class at TCU
New TCU head coach, Sonny Dykes, already has one commitment in the Horned Frogs’ class of 2023. Denton (Texas) Ryan three-star wide receiver Jordyn Bailey committed to TCU back in January. Landing Cameron Cook would go a long way for Dykes in launching a new era for TCU football.
