Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig injury update: Deion Sanders unsure of Colorado safety's status
Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig exited Colorado’s opener early on Thursday night. After the game, Deion Sanders had no update on his status either.
Sanders shared that he didn’t have any of the latest on the senior safety during his postgame press conference after the 31-26 win for the Buffaloes over North Dakota State.

“No, I don’t. Not whatsoever,” said Sanders. “Hopefully they get me one soon.”
It was a sizeable loss for the Buffs’ defense considering what Coach Prime says he brings to that unit.

“He’s a leader, he’s a dog,” Sanders said. “He’s one of our defensive guys that, you know, losing a guy like that early in the game hurts. It did.”
Silmon-Craig followed Sanders by transferring from Jackson State. He spent last season at Colorado where he appeared in all of their 12 games with 10 starts in their secondary. In his 673 snaps, he posted 44 tackles, a sack, and a tie for the team lead in interceptions with a trio.
With the Buffs playing last night, Silmon-Craig will get an extra day or two to rest before next weekend’s matchup against Nebraska in Lincoln. However, as of now, there’s no official word on him since he left the opener.

The Cornhuskers will be playing UTEP in their opener on Saturday so they’ll be short an extra day of rest compared to the Buffaloes. However, the game will be played in Lincoln.
According to lines listed by DraftKings Sportsbook, Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes are opening as a 7-point underdog against the ‘Huskers and Matt Rhule. The over/under point total has not yet been revealed for the matchup.
It’s an understandable line, especially after Colorado struggled with the Bison at times and with Nebraska as a bit of an unknown at the moment. Depending on how they play tomorrow, the line could certainly move in either direction.
