LSU’s top-10 recruiting class features plenty of beef on the interior. The Tigers targeted multiple elite offensive lineman in the 2025 cycle.

Marion (Ark.) IOL Carius Curne became a top priority for Brian Kelly and his staff back in the summer — and for good reason. On Thursday, Curne was named one of the 32 five-star prospects in the final edition of the 2025 On300 recruiting rankings.

Tabbed as the No. 28 overall prospect and No. 2 IOL in the cycle, Curne remains poised to make an instant impact in Baton Rouge, according to On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire.

“Carius Curne has the opportunity to walk in and take a starting guard spot in Baton Rouge next season. With what was supposed to be a dominant offensive line unit, the Tigers offense struggled to move the ball on the ground consistently,” Bellaire wrote. “Curne has college-ready size standing in at 6-foot-4, 325 pounds and is excellent in the run game. In addition to needing an upgrade on the interior, the Tigers could lose both starting offensive tackles – Will Campbell and Emery Jones – the the NFL Draft, opening more opportunities for Curne to end up in LSU’s starting five.”

“The Marion (Ark.) High standout posted some eye-popping testing numbers at college camps in addition to elite weight room numbers and rare acrobatic skills for a prospect of his size,” On3’s Charles Power wrote. “It’s not surprising that college staffs view Curne as a top athlete on either side of the ball.”

Curne is a part of another big-time LSU recruiting class

Despite losing a commitment from Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood, LSU still made it to the finish line with the No. 7 recruiting class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Twelve LSU signees are featured in the updated On300. Curne, a former Arkansas commit, is one of three five-stars headed to Baton Rouge, alongside cornerback DJ Pickett and running back Harlem Berry.

“I love the history of the program,” Curne told On3. “The more I learned in the recruiting process about each school, the more I knew I wanted to play somewhere with the track record of playing for championships and developing top NFL talent. After visiting every school, I’m confident LSU has the best setup for me to be successful as a student-athlete.”

Curne is one of three blue-chip interior linemen in the class, flanking four-star Solomon Thomas and four-star Tyler Miller.
