Across the college athletics landscape it’s no secret that there are plenty of schools and programs in the state of Texas. And because of that, we should probably give CBS college basketball analyst Clark Kellogg for a mistake he made during their NCAA Tournament selection show.
As the official NCAA Tournament Bracket was revealed Sunday, Kellogg and the CBS crew were previewing the West Region of the bracket. In the process, Kellogg was referring to the TCU Horned Frogs but must have had Austin, Texas in his mind, making a hilarious miscue.

The Texas Froghorns, unfortunately, do not exist, but both schools will now have a go-to mascot name if a merger ever does happen. Both Texas and TCU made the NCAA Tournament, with Texas being the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region and TCU being the No. 6 seed in the West Region.
The Horned Frogs will be taking on the winner Arizona State versus Nevada in their first-round matchup, while Texas will face Colgate to kick off March Madness.
WATCH: Dylan Disu named Most Outstanding Player for Big 12-tournament, all-tournament team announced
Entering the week, if you were told Texas was going to cut down the nets at the Big 12 Tournament, you would believe the guard play was fantastic. While that might hold true, the Longhorns got valuable production from the center position and Dylan Disu. In fact, Disu played so well, he will personally be taking hardware back to Austin.
Disu was named the Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player after having three quality performances. He was the leading scorer on Saturday night in the championship game, putting 18 points past Kansas.

Disu finished in double figures for all three games, with the 18 against Kansas being his highest total. Against Oklahoma State, he dropped 11 points and followed it up with 15 against TCU. An impressive week for Disu as his attention now shifts to the NCAA Tournament.
Texas, Kansas dominate All-Big 12 Tournament team
Alongside Disu being named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, the All-Big 12 Tournament team was announced by the conference. Six total players were selected, with Kansas’ Dajuan Harris and Mike Miles of TCU tying for the final spot.
