CBS NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday show crew reveals their Final Four picks
With the 2023 NCAA Tournament bracket set, the Final Four picks are in from the CBS Selection Sunday show crew. Clark Kellogg, Seth Davis and Jay Wright all agree on No. 1 overall seed Alabama to make it to Houston, though only Davis likes the Crimson Tide to win the national championship.
Alabama is coming off of an SEC Tournament title on Sunday and will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi or Southeast Missouri State in its opening game on Thursday. It seems many experts see the Crimson Tide as having the easiest path in the South Region, which also features Arizona, Baylor and Virginia to round out its top four seeds.
Wright has fellow No. 1 seed Kansas repeating as national champion out of the West region. Kellogg doesn’t even like the Jayhawks to reach the Final Four, however, predicting three-seeded Gonzaga to make it out of the West and win the national championship for the first time.

CBS crew reveals Final Four picks for 2023 NCAA Tournament
Clark Kellogg: Alabama, Xavier, Purdue, Gonzaga
“I look at the South and I’ve got to go Alabama. Clearly that team has been playing well. They win multiple ways. I like the fact that (Gonzaga isn’t) a one seed as they’ve been in multiple tournaments in recent years. They’ve got the kind of team with Drew Timme leading the way that can get it done. I like Gonzaga to make it happen as your national champion.”
Seth Davis: Alabama, Texas, Marquette, Kansas
“This breaks my heart to do this to Purdue fans, but I love the Marquette-Purdue speed matchup here. Houston has the Sasser injury. Houston likes to out-physical teams. Texas can play that way. I think that’s a comfortable (Elite Eight) matchup for the Longhorns. I will take the Crimson Tide of Alabama to beat Kansas in the national championship.”
Jay Wright: Alabama, Texas, Marquette, Kansas
“I think I retired intelligently, because I have the same as Seth. I have Alabama coming out of the South. I have Marquette getting through to the final game to go up against Kansas and I have Kansas repeating. Bill Self healthy, happy and a two-time national champion back-to-back.”
