College basketball teams across the nation continue to change as players enter the transfer portal and make their 2022 NBA Draft decisions. On Monday, a major announcement from the Big 12 resulted in yet another shakeup in the CBS Top 25 and 1 preseason rankings from Gary Parrish.

That major decision came courtesy of the TCU Horned Frogs, as star sophomore guard Mike Miles Jr. announced that he will be returning to school for another year instead of entering the NBA Draft as originally expected. After a successful first season at TCU in the 2020-2021 season, Miles followed that up with an even better sophomore campaign. This past season, he started all 31 games for the Horned Frogs, averaging 15.4 points, 3.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 33.3 minutes per game.

The second edition of the preseason Top 25 and 1 from CBS came out just 24 hours before the third edition. CBS originally switched up its rankings after Isaiah Mobley declared for the draft, resulting in USC falling out of the top 25.

Now, with another major domino having fallen in college basketball with Miles returning to TCU, CBS has again shaken up the preseason Top 25 and 1. TCU has leaped all the way up into the top ten after sitting at No. 16 in the previous rankings.

The preseason rankings will undoubtedly continue changing throughout the offseason and the months leading up to the start of next season. Even though many players have entered the NBA Draft, some have maintained their collegiate eligibility, and other big names remain uncommitted in the transfer portal.

Here is a full look at the third edition of the preseason Top 25 and 1 from Parrish.
