The 2023 NFL Draft has come and gone, with a quarterback-heavy group near the top. Already it’s time to look ahead to the 2024 NFL Draft to see what might shake out.

CBS Sports released its updated first-round NFL mock draft for 2024, and it’s a bit of a who’s who of traditional college football powerhouses.

Quarterbacks are once again highly featured.

After winning the 2022 Heisman Trophy, Caleb Williams is CBS Sports’ favorite to go No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, to the Arizona Cardinals. North Carolina gunslinger Drake Maye isn’t far behind, going with the fourth overall pick to the Washington Commanders.

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix and Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers are both projected to be picked back-to-back in the middle of the first round.

There are a handful of schools with multiple projected first-round selections, including Ohio State with five selections, Alabama with three, Miami with three, and Georgia, Penn State, Texas and Washington with two apiece.

Those projections portend yet another fun year in the Big Ten, though the Buckeyes must replace starting quarterback CJ Stroud, the second overall pick in this year’s draft. Could Penn State’s duo in the trenches of Olu Fashanu and Chop Robinson get the Nittany Lions over the hump this fall?

Moreover, where is Michigan? The Wolverines don’t have any projected first-rounders, according to CBS Sports.

In any case, there’s a lot to pick through, and these 2024 NFL Draft projections are likely to shift quite a bit as the season plays out.

Take a look at the complete CBS Sports 2024 NFL Draft mock below.
