CBS Sports HQ announces launch, lineup for new Saturday morning 'College Football Pregame' show
CBS Sports announced Tuesday that they will be launching College Football Pregame ahead of the 2024 college football season. A three-hour, Saturday morning studio show that will feature a robust lineup of hosts, college football analysts, reporters, and former players on their 24/7 streaming sports news network CBS Sports HQ.
College Football Pregame will debut this Saturday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m. ET to 12:00 p.m. ET ahead of the kickoff of Week 1. Aimed at providing the latest news and commentary on the biggest storylines, picks for game day, and updates from a national network of analysts and on-site reporters across the country.
A whopping 16 members round out CBS Sports HQ’s roster, a list of familiar faces and leading voices in the college football space that can be seen below.
Former Ohio State players Cardale Jones and Beanie Wells join the crew as analysts along with former Alabama running back Damien Harris and Florida State players Danny Kanell and Bryant McFadden. Who all not only played at the highest level of college football, but all spent time at the NFL level as well.

Josh Pate and Mackenzie Brooks will also join the crew as analysts, an operation that will be hosted by Jordan Giorgio and Jeremy St. Louis and accompanied by a slew of reporters who will be on-site across the country for college football’s biggest matchups of the week. Which includes Jenny Dell, Dennis Dodd, Matt Zenitz, and Richard Johnson.

Bud Elliot, Tom Fornelli, and Chip Patterson round out the crew from the Cover 3 College Football Podcast. The most-listened to college football audio podcast in the country that will also join CBS Sports Network on Tuesdays.
“Following the pregame show, CBS Sports HQ will produce live continuing coverage through the end of the Saturday slate of games, including highlights, analysis, breaking news and more,” read CBS Sports’ press release. “Throughout the day, SPORTSLINE’s and EARLY EDGE’s betting analystswill offer their best bets and live in-game wagers as they dive into the latest lines from FanDuel, the official odds provider of CBS Sports HQ.”
The primary CBS television channel will feature a doubleheader in Week 1, airing a matchup between No. 2 Ohio State and Akron at 3:30 p.m. ET followed by UCLA visiting Hawaii for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
