Week 7 was one for the ages. With six matchups between two AP-ranked teams, there was plenty of exciting action throughout the weekend. The dust has settled with eight ranked teams losing in Week 7, which will surely result in big changes in this week’s rankings. After the action, CBS Sports has predicted how the AP Top 25 will shake out.

No. 1 Georgia cruised to a 55-0 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday, while No. 2 Ohio State sat idle on a bye. There are some teams that are pushing for one of the top spots in the rankings, with No. 5 Michigan and No. 6 Tennessee both picking up wins over top ten opponents. The Volunteers edged out No. 3 Alabama in Knoxville, while the Wolverines dominated against No. 10 Penn State.

Both Tennessee and Michigan are poised to join the top four, but leapfrogging Georgia or Ohio State could be a bit too tall of a task at this time. As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide are going to fall, the only question is how far.

Two more top ten teams lost on Saturday, with No. 7 USC falling to No. 20 Utah and No. 8 Oklahoma State losing to No. 13 TCU. The Horned Frogs are likely to join the top ten this week, and CBS Sports’ predictions reflected that.

In other ranked matchups, No. 18 Syracuse beat a hobbled No. 15 NC State team while No. 23 Kentucky bounced back with a big 27-17 win over No. 16 Mississippi State.
