Even though Week 3 didn’t quite live up to Week 2 of college football, there was still plenty of exciting action. The slate wasn’t as loaded as last weekend, but some close games and a couple of intriguing top 25 matchups led the way on Saturday. Following the action, CBS Sports has predicted the AP Top 25 after Week 3.

It was a good week to be ranked in the top ten, as nobody in the top ten of the rankings after Week 2 lost in Week 3. In fact, almost every team in the top ten cruised to a blowout victory on Saturday. Arkansas won a close came against Bobby Petrino and Missouri State, coming away with a 38-27 triumph.

The teams ranked just outside the top ten, though, didn’t have the same fate. Michigan State (previously No. 11) fell 39-28 to an unranked Washington team, which results in the biggest movement in the AP Top 25 prediction from CBS Sports. BYU (previously No. 12) lost 41-20 to Oregon (previously No. 25), which will also shake up the rankings. Additionally, Texas A&M (previously No. 24) pulled off a low-scoring, 17-9 victory over Miami (previously No. 13).

Outside of Michigan State, BYU, and Miami, no teams ranked in last week’s AP Top 25 lost in Week 3. The top 25 went 22-3 overall, and only one team lost to an unranked opponent.
