CBS Sports releases Top 25 and 1 after transfer portal moves

College basketball is now a month in the rearview mirror since UConn cut down the nets and claimed a national championship, but the wheels have not stopped turning in the sport. Just as fast as the sport crowned its champion, the transfer portal picked up steam and saw various teams either lose players into the portal or add key contributors.
One of the biggest moves of the portal in the last month came just this past week. Former Oral Roberts star guard Max Abmas entered the portal previously after his head coach, Paul Mills, left fro the Wichita State head coaching job. On Thursday, Abmas announced he would be committing to Rodney Terry and the Texas Longhorns over Kansas State and a reunion with Mills as a Shocker.

That is far from the only move that has taken place in the portal recently, though. Chris Beard and Ole Miss landed a 7-foot-5 Western Kentucky transfer in Jamarion Sharp. North Carolina transfer Puff Johnson announced his commitment to Penn State. And that just barely scratches the surface.
After all the moving parts in the transfer portal, CBS Sports released an updated top 25 and 1 ranking ahead of the new season. Texas took a significant jump in the rankings, while some others fell down on the list. Here is a look at the latest top 25 and 1 from CBS.
