CBS Sports releases updated QB Power Rankings ahead of Week 7 of college football
The CBS Sports‘ QB power rankings look a lot different after Week 6 and heading into Week 7 but what remains the same is the consistency of No. 1 quarterback CJ Stroud.
The Ohio State star is averaging just shy of 300 passing yards and four scores a week and at the moment, he’s running away from the pack. On top of his steady performances, Stroud has stayed healthy, unlike some of the league’s other top quarterbacks.
With half a season remaining in the 2022 regular season, there’s still plenty of time for other signal-callers to make a move. Alabama QB and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young is making progress toward a return on Saturday and the Tide star has the ability to make everyone forget that he missed a week of action.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is the perfect example of what a good week can do to the power rankings. Versus OU, Ewers threw for 289 yards, four scores and an interception, and he’s now up to No. 3.

Power rankings movement
Injuries to some of college football’s top quarterbacks in the last two weeks have dramatically shaken up the new power rankings. Along with the new top 10, CBS Sports also shared which quarterbacks are one great week away from making the cut.
