College basketball has had a topsy-turvy week already, with five ranked teams losing on Wednesday night and three more losing on Tuesday, including No. 2 Kansas. As a result, CBSSports.com has released its updated “Top 25 and 1” to reflect anticipated changes to the next batch of rankings.

Kansas State, which knocked off Kansas in one of the games of the year in an 83-82 thriller, has leap-frogged over its in-state rival courtesy of that marquee win.

Former Florida star Keyontae Johnson has seen his career resurgence help spark the Kansas State Wildcats, and it was his dunk that gave the Wildcats the lead for good in the win over the Jayhawks inside of the final minute of play. Johnson scored 24 points in the win and also hauled in eight rebounds during the contest, pacing Kansas State.

The biggest movers in this edition of the “Top 25 and 1” were Auburn moving up three spots and UConn moving down seven.

Auburn secured a win over Mississippi State this weekend, then topped LSU on the road on Wednesday night. The Tigers are currently one of three ranked teams in the SEC.

UConn, meanwhile, has lost three straight, at Marquette, vs. St. John’s and at Seton Hall. Games against Butler and Xavier loom, so the going isn’t likely to get much easier for the Huskies in the near term.
