CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm shared his updated CFP and bowl projections after a wild Week 13 that included multiple upsets. Thanks to Michigan‘s dominant victory over Ohio State on Saturday, the Wolverines are now one of the four teams heading to the CFP semifinal in the latest projections.

Despite a weekend of conference championships ahead, the postseason bowl picture is nearly set.

Palm predicts that Michigan will make the CFP even if they find a way to lose to Purdue in the Big Ten title game. In fact, the only team he sees potentially slipping is USC. The Trojans already have one loss on the schedule (to Utah) and a second could mean losing the fourth and final spot to the one-loss Buckeyes.

The CFP committee’s rankings on Tuesday could ultimately determine which teams play in New Year’s Six games. LSU‘s loss to Texas A&M, as well as Clemson‘s to South Carolina, have an impact, but how large the impact is, is ultimately up to the committee.

Bowl games begin on Dec. 16 and continue all the way through Jan. 9’s national championship game.
