CBS Sports updates College Football Playoff, bowl projections ahead of Week 3

Following a heckuva Week 2 in the college football calendar, CBS Sports has unveiled their latest projections for which teams will be in the College Football Playoff, New Year’s Six bowls, and more.

The bowl matchups are predicted by CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm. While these are certainly early projections, subject to major overhaul with just one wrong result in the coming 11 weeks, the four teams Palm has in the playoff are some very familiar faces. He also does not project a championship matchup or winner — i.e. national semifinal winners — just the field of four teams.

Looking beyond the playoff, there are some really intriguing matchups throughout the bowl calendar that Palm has projected.
