Central Michigan transfer OL Keegan Smith commits to UCF
Former Central Michigan Chippewas offensive lineman Keegan Smith has committed to join the UCF Knights via the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.
Smith played high school football at Lumen Christi (MI), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1915 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Toledo running back Peny Boone commits to transfer to UCF
In other news, Toledo Rockets running back Peny Boone has committed to transfer to the UCF Knights, per Hayes Fawcett. He previously played for the Maryland Terrapins.
In 2023, Peny Boone was the MAC Player of the Year. He rushed for 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had 15 receptions for 2019 yards and another touchdown through the air. That performance helped him lead Toledo to an 11-3 record and an appearance in the MAC Championship Game.

Peny Boone spent two seasons at Toledo. Prior to that, he spent two seasons with Maryland. Over the course of his career, Boone has rushed for 2,097 yards and 20 touchdowns.
UCF is coming off a 6-7 season, which was the program’s first in the Big 12. The Knights were excellent on the ground for the season, finishing with the fifth in the country in rushing offense with 228.23 yards per game on the ground.
Peny Boone played high school football at Martin Luther King (Michigan), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 380 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Following the 2023 season, Peny Boone entered the portal and initially committed to the Louisville Cardinals in early January. However, by April, he had re-entered the Transfer Portal. Peny Boone has two years of eligibility remaining.
