Barkley’s current deal runs for another three years. That happens to coincide with TNT’s NBA contract. The expectation is that they try to renew it. However, there is a chance that they’re unable to. In that case, Barkley could potentially own his own rights to work for another network or platform. However, that is still three years down the road.
In other words, if TNT retains the rights to the NBA, Barkley’s current contract will have been extended by seven years.
During his time with TNT, Charles Barkley has won four Sports Emmy Awards for being an outstanding studio analyst.
