Charlotte WR, former South Carolina transfer O'Mega Blake commits to Arkansas

Charlotte wide receiver and former South Carolina transfer O’Mega Blake is heading back to the SEC. Blake has signed with Arkansas, the Razorbacks announced on Tuesday.

Blake caught 32 passes for 795 yards and nine touchdowns for the 49ers this past season, leading Charlotte in receiving yards and touchdowns.

Prior to playing at Charlotte, O’Mega Blake spent three seasons at South Carolina. His best year for the Gamecocks came in 2023 when Blake caught 19 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He played in all 12 games that season, making four starts.

O’Mega Blake signed with South Carolina after being ranked as a three-star recruit and No. 121 receiver in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry Rankings.

He attended South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina before beginning his college career. Blake had 1,272 yards of offense and 12 touchdowns as a senior in high school.

O’Mega Blake is joining an Arkansas program that is 6-6 in 2024 and set to face Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl.

Ole Miss transfer OT Kavion Broussard commits to Arkansas

In addition to O’Mega Blake, Arkansas recently landed a commitment from offensive lineman Kavion Broussard out of the transfer portal.

On3’s Pete Nakos reported Broussard’s commitment to the ‘Hogs on Monday per his representation. In the end, he chose the Razorbacks over Vanderbilt while there was also portal interest in him from schools like Miami.

Broussard just finished his lone season as a true freshman at Ole Miss. He did not appear while in The ‘Sip, though, with four years of collegiate eligibility set for him to use.

Broussard, a Zachary, Louisiana native, was the No. 668 overall recruit as a three-star prospect in the 2024 cycle. He rated as a Top-20 player out of the state and a Top-50 OT in the class. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Per the latest in On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, Broussard was then the No. 44 OT and the No. 606 overall transfer.

Broussard is actually the fourth transfer transaction between these two programs specifically. He is the first addition for Arkansas while Ole Miss has added TE Luke HaszIOL Patrick Kutas, and CB Jaylon Braxton.
