4-star PF Chase Foster updates recruiting, talks Florida State and Maryland
Chase Foster is currently the No. 39 overall player in the 2026 On3 150. The 6-foot-9 forward helped his Baltimore (MD) Edmondson-Westlake team win their second consecutive Maryland 1A State Championship this season. Foster finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots in the game.
Foster recently announced he is transferring to play his junior season at Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy.
“I’m a three/four I would say, a versatile forward,” Foster told On3. “I can do anything on the court really, pass, defend, anything that helps my team win. I’ve gotten a lot stronger and with that my IQ for the game and my ball handling have gotten a lot better since high school. I watch a lot of Jayson Tatum and Paul George, how they create shots and are two-way players.”
On3 caught up with four-star Chase Foster recently to discuss his game and his recruitment.
“I got offers from Florida State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Maryland, and some more,” Foster said. “I want to go see Florida State and Maryland for sure.”

Chase Foster talks schools
MARYLAND: “I know they run a good offense and they specialize in hybrid forwards, three/fours, guys that are my height. They offered me after my state championship game and they talk a lot about my versatility as a player.”
FLORIDA STATE: “They know how to develop their three-and-D guys. Versatile players, like me, that are my height.”
In his words
“I am going to look for a program and a coach that keeps it real with me,” Foster said. “A program that will take me in as a family and let me know what I need to work on a help me develop as a player. Playstyle won’t really matter to me, I just want to go somewhere I can get better and win.”
