Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside three-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown has committed to Florida State, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

He chose the Seminoles following his decommitment from UCF. Brown is following former Knights head coach and new FSU offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn to Tallahassee.

The 6-foot-7, 235-pounder is the No. 424 overall prospect and No. 28 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 57 player in Georgia.

After reopening his recruitment, Brown locked in an official visit with FSU this month. The additions of Malzahn and offensive line coach Herb Hand were instrumental in Brown’s decision.

“Oh yes, certainly when they added Coach Malzahn, that was a big part,” Brown told Warchant ahead of his OV. “As well as Coach Hand, because he’s so good with development of offensive linemen, and he’s shown that everywhere. With Coach Gus, he played a big role. And I feel if I went there, they are going to have me ready and have my body ready to help right away.”

Brown now joins a recruiting class under head coach Mike Norvell and Co. that ranks No. 19 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. He’s the fourth offensive lineman in the Noles’ 2025 class, joining four-star De Kalb (Miss.) Kemper County four-star OT Mario Nash, Atlanta Riverwood three-star IOL Sean Poret and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie three-star IOL Sandman Thompson.

In total, nine blue-chip prospects are in the incoming FSU class. Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn and Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star running back Ousmane Kromah headline as top-100 prospects.

Other top signees heading to Tallahassee include: Tampa Gaither four-star EDGE LaJesse Harrold, Milton (Fla.) Pace four-star EDGE Tylon Lee, Cocoa (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, Jacksonville Riverside four-star tight end Tae’shaun Gelsey and Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star safety Gregory Thomas.
