Columbia, South Carolina – The 20th Annual Chick Fil A Classic featured three nationally ranked teams along with over 25 players ranked among the country’s top 150 in their respective classes.

The featured game of the day had the local Lexington (SC) High School featuring four-star shooting guard Cam Scott against top-five ranked Miami (FL) Columbus High featuring five-star twins Cayden Boozer and Cameron Boozer.

South Carolina head coach Lamont Paris was joined by Queens head coach Grant Leonard, along with assistants from Duke, Wake Forest, Florida State, NC State, Charlotte, and others. Columbus took control of the game from start to finish in this one, jumping out to a 30-1 lead and keeping the margin around 30 until the end.

Four-star C Aiden Sherrell (2024)

Height/Weight: 6-10/220
School: Phoenix (AZ) Hillcrest
2024 On3 Consensus: No. 44

Aiden Sherrell has been a player to watch for a couple of years now. He has size, with long arms, and an overall projectable frame. Over the last couple of years, the 2024 On3 Consensus No. 44 player has continued adding to his game.

In this one, he showed a lot of skill. The jump shot looked good. He knocked down a nice catch and shoot three from the corner, along with a couple of mid-range jumpers off the catch. The four-star was also good around the rim, both rebounding and protecting it.

Sherrell finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds. He was 8-for-15 from the field and 1-for-1 from three with three blocks.

Five-star PF Cameron Boozer (2005)

Height/Weight: 6-9/205
High school: Miami (FL) Columbus High
2025 On3 Consensus: No. 1

Cameron Boozer simply has a presence about him. I’m not quite sure how to describe that presence or what that presence is; however, from the moment he steps on the court, you realize he is about to produce some ridiculous production.

This game was no different; he finished 9-of-13 from the field for 23 points and 16 rebounds. Boozer plays the game with one emotion. There is a competitive fire in there, there is a toughness, for sure, but his demeanor, no matter the spot in the game, is as even-keeled as it comes.

As I mentioned above, Duke was in the stands watching. Duke is where his father, Carlos Boozer, starred. The Blue Devils were also one of his early offers, along with Miami, Florida State, and a handful of others. Per usual, this output was not flashy, but it was as productive as you will find.

Four-star PF Jarin Stevenson (2024)

Height/Weight: 6-9/215
School: Pittsboro (NC) Seaforth High
2024 On3 Consensus: No. 19

Jarin Stevenson is coming out of a Summer on the EYBL, where he was one of the most efficient players on the 16u Circuit. At the Chick Fil A Classic, he is playing in the Carolina’s Challenge portion of the event.

The 6-foot-9 junior showcased an impressive offensive package in his first game at the event. Stevenson knocked down five threes en route to 31 points. The jump shot was clean, and he shot it with confidence and balance. Stevenson showed some ball handling in the open floor, and he made shots in the mid-range.

Stevenson is the 2024 On3 Consensus No. 19. ranked player. His dad scored 1,500 career points at Richmond, and his mom won three ACC championships at North Carolina. He’s taken a lone official visit to Georgetown.

Other notes

2024 RJ Jones of Gainesville (FL) The Rock School was steady. While the jump shot was not falling (2-9 3P), he was able to affect the game in other ways. The four-star used his 7-foot-0 wing span to grab 14 rebounds and 4 steals. He also had a game-high 19 points in the win.

Western Kentucky signee Riley Allenspach of Charlotte (NC) Providence Day had an impressive offensive night against IMG. The 6-foot-9 power forward showcased an array of up-fakes and jab-steps and sprinkled a couple of spot threes en route to 22 points.

2024 On3 150 No. 13 Bryson Tucker of Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy plays with an excellent pace; some might even call it a professional’s pace. The 6-foot-6 wing is excellent in the mid-range, with great feel and footwork for his game and his production. His team won by 34, and Tucker finished with 12 points and four rebounds.
