Lexington, South Carolina – Annually, The Chick-Fil-A Classic brings some of the nation’s very best players to the Great Columbia, South Carolina area. On3’s Jamie Shaw was courtside on day two of the event to bring you live updates from the day’s events.
Matt Painter Checks in on Gicarri Harris
Purdue head coach was front and center for Loganville (IN) Grayson High School’s 11:10 AM game, the first of the event. He was taking in the play of his four-star guard signee Gicarri Harris. Harris finished the game with 26 points and 11 rebounds while going 12-of-13 from the free-throw line.
UCF Two-Deep for 2025 Commitment
Moustapha Thiam is UCF’s highest-ranked recruit in program history. The 7-foot-1 center currently sits at No. 9 in the 2025 On3 150. UCF sat two-deep at the Chick-Fil-A Classic for their prized recruit. Thiam finished with 7 points, and 11 rebounds in the win.
Kansas signee Goes for Game-High 24
Four-star wing guard Rakease Passmore finished with 24 points for Lincolnton (NC) Combine Academy. The efficiency is where his game has improved, playing within three dribbles and confidently rising up to knock down shots. Passmore, No. 48 in On3’s 2024 class, finished with 24 points going 5-of-6 from three. Passmore signed with Kansas during the early signing period.

Lamont Paris Court Side for No. 1 in 2025
South Carolina head coach Lamont Paris made the 15-minute trip from campus to Lexington (SC) River Bluff High to watch 2025 On3 150 No. 1 ranked AJ Dybantsa. The 6-foot-8 wing from Napa (CA) Prolific Prep recently took an official visit to Southern California. Class of 2025 four-star wing forward Treyvon Maddox of West Columbia (SC) Gray Collegiate is also playing in the game. Dybantsa finished with 11 points in the win. Maddox also had 11 with six rebounds.
Mississippi State and South Carolina take in SC-based Junior
Three-star small forward Jordan Watford of Lancaster (SC) High was tracked today by coaches from Mississippi State and South Carolina. Mississippi State was an early offer for the 6-foot-4 wing. He finished the first round game today with 13 points and six assists.
No. 2 ranked Prolific Prep Wins First-Round Battle
Napa (CA) Prolific Prep came into the game a lot of talent, and the fans were more the gyped to watch them play. Kids lined the court as the players warmed up and they followed them to the locker room after the game seeking pictures and autographs. Prolif Prep is led by On3’s No. 1 players in the 2025 and 2026 classes, AJ Dybantsa and Tyran Stokes, respectively. They also feature fouur-star Alabama signee Aiden Sherrell, four-star Washington signee Zoom Diallo, four-star St. Mary’s signee Mikey Lewis, and others. West Columbia (SC) Gray Collegiate jumped out to a quick lead, and carried that lead to about halfway through the second quarter. Prolific Prep scored a combined 47 points in th e second and fourth quarters. Dybantsa (11), Stokes (12), and Sherrell (15) each finished in double figures and Stokes (10) and Sherrell (13) had double-figure rebounds. Prolific Prep moves to 17-1 on the season after the 63-47 win.
