Chip Trayanum injury update: Kentucky RB's status vs. Auburn revealed on Wednesday report
Auburn and Kentucky are set to meet Saturday in a game between two teams thoroughly disappointed with the first half of the season. The injury report will loom large.
If either team is hoping to end its current run of poor form, it’ll need to be relatively healthy to do so.
Both teams have a chance in that regard. But this much is clear: The loser of this game will not feel very good about the direction things are headed.
For Auburn, the team is already riding a four-game losing streak in conference play. Kentucky has lost two straight and four of five in league play. Needless to say, both desperately need a win on Saturday.
So let’s get to the injury report.

While both teams will be trying to get everyone possible off the injury report before Saturday, there are other considerations that will play a large factor in the game.

Not the least of which is how Auburn’s offense will hold up against a very stout Kentucky front.
“First and foremost, you know, you start up front with them and they got great size and athleticism up front,” Tigers quarterback Payton Thorne said. “The two DTs are very large humans and not easy to move. And that’s just, you know, the honest report on them. Obviously, they’re really good players up there and their two D-ends are really good players, too. Do a good job rushing the passer, good job in the run game. Their backers have played a lot of football, too.”
The personnel itself is impressive, but then the way coach Mark Stoops uses them is equally impressive. There’s a level of continuity on the defense you don’t always see.
Auburn will have its hands full.
“Really, their whole defense has been together, it seems like a while and played a lot of games,” Thorne said. “Their front seven are really talented and then their DBs are talented as well. They’re really long. I think both their corners are 6’3. Both their safeties are good size, too, and they’ve done a good job this year. And so it’s a good challenge for us. We got to put a good week together at practice, make sure we know the game plan in and out, and just go out there and make plays on Saturday.”
