5-star PF Chris Cenac down to 12 schools
Chris Cenac, one of the biggest risers in the 2025 class, has trimmed down his 34 offer list to 12 schools.
Moving forward, the 6-foot-10 power forward out of Link Academy (MO) will consider Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas, and UConn.
Cenac, a New Orleans native, says he’s yet to schedule any official visits. LSU and Houston have both hosted him unofficially on campus. He says he aims to make a commitment by January or February.
According to On3’s Top-150 Player Rankings, Cenac is the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2025 class. He’s also the No. 2 power forward.
Cenac talks recruitment
In a recent interview with On3’s Jamie Shaw, Chris Cenac discussed LSU and Houston, the two programs he’s visited.

LSU: “My relationship is good with the staff. The whole staff reaches out pretty much all the time. They’re still building their program. I want to see this year what they do this year, with the team they have. They have great facilities down there. How up to date their facilities are stood out to me.”
HOUSTON: “They’re a good team, very physical. Coach (Kelvin) Sampson is a great coach and they’re like a family over there. They’re a good transition team, and I feel like I’m pretty good in transition. Houston stresses defense and their facilities are good.”
What he’s looking for in a school
“I’m looking for a school that will develop me the most and help me get to the next level,” he told Shaw. “I’ll want to have a great relationship with the coaches, trust there. And I’ll want to be looking for an NBA type system, spreading the floor, playing four or five out. I’m open to any school around the country really, location won’t matter.”
