4-star Chris Nwuli breaks down recent offers
Chris Nwuli is the No. 38 player in the 2025 On3 Consensus. The 6-foot-8 forward played up with the Vegas Elite program on Nike’s EYBL 16u Circuit. He averaged 7.8 points and 4.6 rebounds, shooting 51 percent from the field.
“I play with a lot of passion,” Nwuli told On3. “I bring a lot of energy on the defensive end and the offensive end. In case they need someone to lift them up and be a leader, I’m there for them. I feel like I’ve gotten a lot more confident in what I’m able to do on the floor. I’ll watch a lot of Dennis Rodman, with his boxing out, rebounding, and energy, and then Tony Allen, with his energy and leadership.”
On3 sat down with Chris Nwuli after a recent Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman win at the Tarkanian Classic to talk about recruiting.
“I have a couple of offers right now,” Nwuli said. “I have UCLA, Arizona State, Washington State, St. John’s, and I just got Ohio State. But, I haven’t been on any unofficals yet.”
Nwuli talks offers
UCLA: “I like how they’re a very controlled environment. The way they move the ball, they’re very team-oriented; it’s because of the system they have. They play with energy on defense, and they like to be everywhere.”

Ohio State: “I know they love, love, love energy. They love guys who are active and everywhere. One of their bigs right now, Zed Key, he is everywhere. I can see myself a little bit in him because he is all over the floor, on defense, rebounding, and all that.”
Arizona State: “My dad has been talking with them a lot. I know a couple of people down there, and they say they love it down there. They are all about their tradition.”
Washington State: “One of my old AAU teammates plays there, and he says he likes the environment and the coaches are great. They want their guys to get to the league, so they spend a lot of time developing their players. The coach is really nice there.”
In Nwuli’s words
“I want a place that will make me happy,” Nwuli said. “I’ll want to go to a school that will make me feel happy playing there and living there. I want to go somewhere that feels like a family like I have here at Gorman. It doesn’t matter really how they look to play me; I want to be able to impact the game, impact the team.
