On3 top-75 overall prospect Christopher Jackson announces top 10 schools
Tucker (Ga.) four-star EDGE Christopher Jackson announced his top 10 schools on Wednesday. They are Alabama, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn, Oklahoma, Georgia and Colorado.
Jackson is the No. 191 overall prospect and No. 13 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 28 player in Georgia.
On3 rates Jackson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 75 overall prospect, No. 7 EDGE and the No. 12 player in Georgia.
The 6-foot-3.5, 220-pound pass rusher has locked in official visits to LSU (June 16) and Georgia (June 23). According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Bulldogs have a close lead for his commitment at 32.2%.
“I’ve always felt like I was capable of getting these offers and doing everything that I’m doing now,” Jackson told On3’s Jeremy Johnson on Nov. 20. “I feel like hard work pays off. That’s something that I believe. I’ve seen my mom work hard to accomplish the things she’s accomplished. Hard work pays off. Not to sound cocky, but I knew one of these days someone was going to take a chance. It’s opened up the floodgates.”
“I’m taking it day-by-day, evaluating my options and going up to these schools and getting the right feel,” Jackson told Johnson on April 4. “I’m just trying to narrow it down and get ready for commitment time.”

Jackson discusses three of his finalists
Alabama: “I’m a big fan of Will Anderson. They were saying they use their outside linebackers differently than anybody else in the country. That stuck out to me. Me and the coaches talked ball and watched some film. I loved how they use their guys. I could see myself as a perfect fit in that defense. They develop their guys. They get the best talent but the way they develop their guys in the strength program and their weight room is high-tech. They’ll work on your deficiencies. I can really see myself in that.”
Clemson: “Me and coach (Lemanski) Hall are building a great relationship. I’ve been up there like five times. They love me. It’s a different relationship. Coach Hall and I get personal. It’s not just ball. It’s life and ball and then life after ball. We keep it real. Coach (Dabo) Swinney is a great guy.”
Georgia: “We’re still building that bond. I went to a game and it was a great atmosphere. They started off a little slow and faced some adversity and got the big win. They have that feeling. Who doesn’t want to be a dog? Being from Georgia, you want to be a part of that. It’s special to be a part of that. Coach (Kirby) Smart is a great coach and a great guy. I talked with him with my mom. Me and my mom loved him. It’s one of the best coach talks I’ve had in my process. I feel like I have to go up there.”
LSU: “LSU has always been a dream school. I always wanted to play for them. Me and my former teammate in middle school and little league days, we talked about LSU and had our jerseys on. It was a dream to go up there. I’m building a great relationship with those coaches and we’ve been building it for a minute. They love me.”
