Cincinnati expected to hire Ohio State's Zach Grant as general manager

Cincinnati is expected to hire Ohio State director of player personnel Zach Grant as general manager, sources tell On3.
Before Ohio State, Grant was the general manager at Western Kentucky under Tyson Helton. Grant had been with the Hilltoppers since 2017, when he was hired as the team’s director of player personnel at just 23 years old.
At Western Kentucky, Grant was key in the Hilltoppers landing players such as defensive end DeAngelo Malone, a two-time selection as Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and a 2022 third-round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons. Aided by Grant, the Hilltoppers were 7-1 in conference play in 2021.
In his year at Ohio State, Grant has helped the Buckeyes put together a 2023 recruiting class that ranks No. 1 in the Big Ten and No. 5 nationally in the On3 Consensus Rankings.
