CJ Daniels injury update: Latest on LSU wide receiver vs. Alabama on Thursday report
The stakes don’t get much higher in college football than this Saturday’s game between No. 11 Alabama and No. 15 LSU. Two teams looking to avoid their third loss of the season and keep their hopes alive for making the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.
Matchups between the Crimson Tide and the Tigers always feel special. But the electricity only increases when the backdrop is a night game at Tiger Stadium like this Saturday’s game will be.
Both Alabama and LSU are notably each coming off of bye weeks. Which not only allows both teams to increase their preparation for facing one another, but also lets teams banged up players to get back to full health and make an impact in Saturday’s game.
A handful of notable players in this weekend’s matchup in Baton Rouge have been battling injuries. Check out who’s out and who’s still on the fence about playing on Saturday in the full Thursday injury report below.

Keon Sabb continues to miss time for the Crimson Tide after suffering from a lower-body injury against Tennessee, while wide receiver and punt returner Cole Adams was ruled out for the remainder of the season with his own lower-body injury after leaving Alabama’s last game against Missouri. But outside of those two players, the Crimson Tide are at full strength for Saturday.
Starting wideout CJ Daniels is still the biggest question mark for the Tigers after dealing with injuries throughout the season. Catching 29 passes for 342 yards this year, but leaving both the Arkansas and Texas A&M games due to an injury.
