On300 No. 2 WR Naeem Burroughs commits to Clemson

Jacksonville Bolles School four-star wide receiver Naeem Burroughs has committed to Clemson, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Saturday evening.
He chose the Tigers over the likes of Florida, USC and Texas.
“First I want to give all the glory to God! Coach Swinney and Coach Grish are amazing coaches! They have a strong foundation and I want to be apart of that! Go tigers,” Burroughs wrote on X.
Burroughs is the No. 44 overall prospect and No. 6 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Florida.
On3 ranks the 5-foot-11, 160-pounder higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 20 recruit, No. 2 receiver and No. 2 player in the Sunshine State, per the 2026 On300.
It’s a landmark recruiting win for head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson staff. Burroughs has locked in an official visit with the Tigers for the weekend of June 30, though OVs to Texas, USC and Florida were also previously set. Burroughs told Fawcett that he was shutting things down, however.

“I don’t want to go to a school knowing there’s not a big chance I’ll play — not saying playing my freshman year is something I need to do, but I feel like going somewhere where they’re stacked at the position wouldn’t really make sense,” Burroughs told On3 in December.
As a junior for Bolles, Burroughs caught 33 passes in nine games, totaling 829 yards and 12 touchdowns, per MaxPreps. His high school career has witnessed over 2,500 receiving yards and 34 TDs. Bolles won 10 games in 2024, ranking as the No. 30 team in the state, per the On3 Composite.
The elite pass-catcher is commit No. 7 for Clemson in the 2026 cycle. He’s the Tigers’ second pledge in as many days, joining Washington Court House (Ohio) Miami Trace four-star offensive tackle Adam Guthrie, who committed on Friday afternoon.
To date, the Clemson class ranks No. 14 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Queen Creek (Ariz.) four-star quarterback Tait Reynolds sits at the top of the class alongside Burroughs and Guthrie. Reynolds is On3’s No. 16 QB in the cycle.
