Huntington (W.V.) Prep three-star tight end Tayveon Wilson has committed to the Clemson Tigers.

The junior prospect chose the ACC program while also holding offers from the likes of Penn State, Miami, Arkansas and Louisville.

Wilson is the No. 474 overall prospect and No. 22 TE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 junior in West Virginia.

The son of former Marshall linebacker Dionte Wilson, Tayveon becomes commitment No. 4 for head coach Dabo Swinney and the Tigers in the 2026 cycle. Wilson is a multi-sport standout who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs in at 205 pounds. Clemson offered Wilson this June.

Tigers add another early addition to 2026 class

Clemson got going on the 2026 recruiting trail at the end of the summer, as it landed three commits across July and August.

Queen Creek (Ariz.) four-star quarterback Tait Reynolds pledged on July 7 and is the No. 258 recruit and No. 17 QB in the cycle.

“From the first moment I stepped on campus, I told my dad, ‘Man, this place is awesome,’” Reynolds told On3. “I worked with coach Riley and I hung out with coach Swinney. He had me in his office. I was the first 2026 quarterback that they offered, so that means a lot. I know they believe in me and it’s a place that I feel like I can be successful at.”

Surprisingly, Reynolds is already one of two QB prospects in the class. Birmingham Spain Spark three-star QB Brock Bradley committed on Aug. 21 and is a top-30 junior in the Yellowhammer State.

Wilson now rounds out the class alongside Knoxville Webb School four-star cornerback Shavar Young, a top-200 prospect in the 2026 On300. He committed to the Tigers on Aug. 2.

The quartet of commits currently place Clemson at No. 16 in the 2026 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The Tigers’ 2025 class also ranks No. 16 with the Early Signing Period now less than two weeks away.
