Clemson leaps into Top 10 of On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

Clemson football recruiting is on fire coming out of the Tigers’ big Elite Retreat weekend in Death Valley.
Since Friday, head coach Dabo Swinney and Co. have landed four blue-chip commitments as returns continue to sound better and better for the ACC program. With the new additions, Clemson’s 2026 class now ranks No. 9 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Washington Court House (Ohio) Miami Trace four-star offensive tackle Adam Guthrie was the first to pop, doing so on Friday afternoon. On Saturday night, Jacksonville Bolles School four-star wide receiver Naeem Burroughs and Purcellville (Va.) Bullis School four-star WR Connor Salmin each jumped in the fold. Sunday morning brought a pledge from Milton (Fla.) Pace four-star interior offensive lineman Grant Wise.
Burroughs is now the headlining piece to the class, ranking as the No. 2 wideout in the cycle in the On300. He’s the No. 44 recruit and No. 6 WR in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
“First I want to give all the glory to God! Coach Swinney and Coach Grish are amazing coaches! They have a strong foundation and I want to be apart of that! Go tigers,” Burroughs wrote on X.

With the wave of pledges, Clemson now has nine commits in the mix to date. It’s an offense-heavy list thus far, as Knoxville (Tenn.) Webb School three-star cornerback Shavar Young is the lone defensive recruit committed.
Salmin is behind Burroughs at the top of the class, checking in as the No. 164 recruit, No. 27 WR and No. 5 player in Virginia. Guthrie and Wise are both top-250 overall recruits and top-20 prospects at their respective positions in the trenches.

“I loved it all,” Guthrie told On3 about his trip and commitment. “From the stadium, to the people, the facilities, the way they carry themselves, and how much Clemson fans love their team.”
The class also already includes a blue-chip quarterback in Queen Creek (Ariz.) four-star Tait Reynolds. On3’s No. 16 signal-caller in the cycle, Reynolds pledged last July. The Tigers also own a commitment from Birmingham (Ala.) Spain Park three-star QB Brock Bradley.
Lawrence (Kan.) Free State three-star OT Braden Wilmes and Huntington (W.V.) Prep three-star tight end Tayveon Wilson help round out the class.
With the quartet of commitments, Clemson jumped the likes of Florida, Miami, Alabama, Notre Dame and Texas in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
