(On3)

The USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25 has been updated following the final week of the regular season for the 2024-2025 men’s college basketball campaign.

Selection Sunday is looming large, but first we have some awesome matchups to go through with conference tournaments taking place throughout the nation. Many of the top teams in the country were able to stamp their mark on the week during the final week of regular season games, while others fell in the process, leading to some serious changes throughout the Top 25.

With that in mind, the sport’s brightest coaching minds put their brains together to come up with some rankings. Check out the Top 25 below, and see if your team made the cut as the season progresses.

1. Duke (+1)

Duke finished the ACC regular season strong, blowing out Virginia Tech on the way to a rivalry win against North Carolina to lock up a conference title. Cooper Flagg has been as advertised, and the Blue Devils seemed primed to make a run at a title in 2025.

Entering the ACC Tournament, they’re the top-seeded team in the dance, and overwhelming favorites. Duke won’t play until the Quarterfinals on Thursday, and they’ll await the winner of Georgia Tech and Virginia on Wednesday.

2. Houston (+1)

Houston finished off its strong regular season stretch, picking up wins over Kansas and Baylor to complete their dominant Big 12 title run, which saw them win by multiple games atop the conference. L.J. Cryer led the way for the Cougars over the Bears, scoring 23 points in the process.

Of course, Houston will enter the Big 12 Tournament as the top team in the bracket. They’ll await either West Virginia, TCU or Colorado in the Quarterfinals on Thursday, as they look to continue their incredible stretch.

3. Auburn (-2)

Auburn took two losses in the same week to close the regular season, matching the number they suffered the rest of the year to that point. Losses against Texas A&M and Alabama might not impact their NCAA Tournament seed, but it did cost them in the Coaches Poll.

Regardless, Auburn is still the top-seeded team in the SEC Tournament. They’ll await the victor of Game 5 in the Quarterfinals on Friday, with Ole Miss, Arkansas and South Carolina their potential opponents.

4. Florida (+1)

Florida continued to rebound from a recent loss, adding wins against Alabama and Ole Miss to its resume. Walter Clayton Jr. has become a major player for the Gators, and his 23-point performance against the Rebels is evidence of that.

Now, Florida will enter the SEC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. They’re already on to the Quarterfinals. Missouri, Mississippi State and LSU will be vying for a chance to take down the Gators.

5. St. John’s (+1)

St. John’s capped the dominant run through the Big East with a win over Marquette, leaving no doubt who the top team in the conference was this season. Rick Pitino has his team humming, and RJ Luis Jr. came through for his coach against the Golden Eagles with 28 points.

Of course, the Red Storm are the top seed in the Big East Tournament, as they’ll be looking to notch another trophy prior to the NCAA Tournament. They’ll await either Butler or Providence in the Quarterfinals on Thursday.

6-T. Tennessee (-2)

Tennessee suffered a loss in the midweek slate against Ole Miss, but rebounded in the regular season finale to defeat South Carolina. Chaz Lanier has steadied the ship all season long for the Volunteers, and he did so once again against the Rebels with 23 points.

With their strong finish to the regular season, Tennessee clinched the final double-bye in the SEC Tournament. As the No. 4 seed, they’ll await either Texas A&M, Vanderbilt or Texas in the Quarterfinals.

6-T. Michigan State (+1)

Michigan State picked up a win over Iowa thanks to a comeback effort, which helped them stay in the Top 10 following the final week of the regular season. Then, they strengthened their resume even more, notching a second win over Michigan this season, this time by 17 points in East Lansing.

Tom Izzo’s team is back at the top of the Big Ten, and the No. 1 seed in the conference’s tournament. They’ll await the winner of Indiana and Oregon in the Quarterfinals, and that game will come on Friday.

8. Alabama

Alabama started the week with a loss against Florida, but rebounded with a road win against Auburn to repair any damage done to the resume immediately. It was their biggest win of the season, and Mark Sears came through with the game-winner in overtime.

Now, they’ll hope to parlay their win into an SEC Tournament run. The Crimson Tide are the No. 3 seed, and they’ll await either Kentucky, Georgia or Oklahoma in the Quarterfinals on Friday.

9. Texas Tech

Texas Tech keeps building up a resume worth talking about, winning against Colorado and Arizona State to make a clean regular season finish. The Red Raiders now turn their attention to a Big 12 Tournament run, hoping to raise their stock even more.

They’re the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Tournament, and have a double-bye entering the competition. Texas Tech won’t play until Thursday, where they could face Baylor, Kansas State or Arizona State.

10. Clemson (+1)

Clemson vaulted into the Top 10 of this week’s Coaches Poll after another strong week saw them win against Boston College and Virginia Tech. The Tigers continue to watch teams drop games while they ride a nine-game win streak.

Now, Clemson will enter the ACC Tournament as the No. 3 seed. They’re already on to the Quarterfinals, and the Tigers will have to wait and see which team they play. It’s between Florida State, Syracuse and SMU.
