The USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25 has been updated following an upset-laden eleventh week for the 2024-2025 men’s college basketball season.

As conference games rage on, some awesome matchups are bringing intriguing results to the forefront. Still, many of the top teams in the country were able to stamp their mark on the week while others fell, leading to some serious changes.

With that in mind, the sport’s brightest coaching minds put their brains together to come up with some rankings after Week 11. Check out the Top 25 below, and see if your team made the cut as the season progresses.

1. Auburn

Auburn now sits a bit more comfortably at No. 1, surviving two close games against SEC opponents while the rest of the Top 25 struggled. Taking down Mississippi State and Georgia is not going to end debate, but is an impressive feat without Johni Broome.

Looking ahead, Auburn only has one game this week, but it’s going to be a major test, as they’re welcoming Tennessee to Neville Arena on Saturday night.

2. Duke (+1)

Duke slides up the board thanks to losses around the country, continuing their win streak with a pair of ACC wins. First, they knocked off Notre Dame, and then the Blue Devils wrapped up the weekend with a strong finish against Boston College.

They’ll be looking to keep the good times rolling this week. Duke will face Wake Forest this coming Saturday, and that’s the only time they’ll have to get to work.

3. Alabama (+2)

Alabama suffered its worst loss of the season during the midweek slate, dropping a game to Ole Miss. However, the Crimson Tide bounced back well and defeated Kentucky on the road, limiting the damage.

They’ll be back in action against Vanderbilt on Tuesday, and then LSU on Saturday. Thankfully for Alabama, both of those games will take place at home inside the Coleman Coliseum.

4. Iowa State (-2)

Iowa State picked up a massive midweek win against Utah, continuing to assert their dominance in the Big 12, before taking care of business against Texas Tech in overtime on Saturday.

UCF is on the docket next on Tuesday, followed by a trip to Tempe to face Arizona State. The Cyclones will be looking for win No. 16 and No. 17 on the season before this time next week.

5. Houston (+3)

Houston continues its climb back toward the top of the Top 25 with a clean week. After a blowout win vs. West Virginia, the Cougars survived an upset bid against UCF in a week where many fell.

Now, Utah will come to town in a winnable contest for Houston, before a trip to Allen Fieldhouse becomes their concern this weekend.

6. Florida (-2)

Florida split results in the SEC, losing to Missouri at home, then avenging that result with a big win over Texas. The Gators didn’t fall very far though, with others around them suffering similar fates.

Moving forward, Florida has two games this week. They’ll travel to face South Carolina on Wednesday, followed by a clash with a scrappy Georgia team on Saturday afternoon.

7. Tennessee (-1)

Tennessee started the week off strong, beating Georgia by double-digits. Then, a road upset against in-state rival Vanderbilt foiled an opportunity to rise in the Top 25, instead dropping them slightly.

The Volunteers will at least have the opportunity to bounce back in a big way, with a difficult week on the docket. They’ll face Mississippi State on Tuesday, followed by Auburn on Saturday.

8. Michigan State (+4)

The beneficiary of an early 2025 win streak and losses around them, Michigan State finds themselves in the Top 10 after knocking off Penn State and Illinois over the past week. The Spartans continue to quietly produce some of the best results in the country.

They’ll only have one game this week, as they travel to Piscataway to take on Rutgers on Saturday, so Michigan State will be hoping to go 1-0 this week.

9. Kentucky

After taking care of business against Texas A&M in a ranked midweek matchup, Kentucky dropped a home game against Alabama on Saturday. Instead of a big rise, they slot down the board with many of their peers.

The Wildcats only have one game this week, so they can put all of their focus into their trip to Nashville to play Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon.

10. Marquette (-3)

Marquette only had one game over the past week, and they were victorious over Creighton by eight. That moved their record to 15-3, and kept them within the top ten.

The Golden Eagles will play Seton Hall on Tuesday, and Villanova on Friday. It’s a busy week, but one that could prove fruitful for them if they’re able to get some wins.
