Coaches Poll Top 25 College Basketball Rankings released after Week 15

The USA TODAY Coaches Poll Top 25 has been updated following a phenomenal fifteenth week for the 2024-2025 men’s college basketball season.
With conferences showdowns raging on, the schedule continues to provide awesome matchups and intriguing results. Many of the top teams in the country were still able to stamp their mark on the week, while others fell in the process, leading to some serious changes throughout the Top 25.
With that in mind, the sport’s brightest coaching minds put their brains together to come up with some rankings after Week 15. Check out the Top 25 below, and see if your team made the cut as the season progresses.
1. Auburn (+1)
After suffering their second loss of the season the week prior, Auburn reasserted themselves over the past few days. First, they defeated Vanderbilt by 12, and they followed that up with arguably the biggest win of the season, going on the road and beating Alabama by nine in Tuscaloosa.
There’s two games on the schedule for the top team in the nation this week. They’ll face Arkansas on Wednesday, followed by another home game against Georgia on Saturday.
2. Florida (+1)

Florida won both their conference showdowns relatively handily over the past week. First, they defeated Mississippi State on the road by 13, and then they returned to Gainesville, where they beat South Carolina by 21 points.
The Gators have two games this week. They’ll play Oklahoma and LSU, as they look to build on their record of 22-3.
3. Duke (+2)
Duke made it their mission to respond after losing to Clemson last weekend, and they did just that this past week. They dismantled Cal and Stanford, taking care of two of the newer additions to the ACC.
The Blue Devils will face Illinois in their lone game this week. It should be a fascinating clash between the ACC squad and the Big Ten team on Saturday night.
4. Alabama (-3)
Alabama moved to the top spot in some ranking last week, but they fell to Auburn over the weekend. While the Tigers are one of the top teams in the nation, a nine-point home loss stings, especially against your biggest rival.
The Crimson Tide have a couple of bounce back chances this week at least. They’ll face Missouri on Wednesday, and Kentucky this coming weekend, the latter coming at home.
5. Houston (+1)

Houston was victorious in their lone game over this past week. They defeated Arizona by four on the road, a major feather in their cap moving forward.
The Cougars have two games this week, and the biggest one will come on Saturday, as they’ll welcome Iowa State to the Fertitta Center in a Big 12 showdown.
6. Tennessee (-2)
Tennessee started their week off with disappointment, as they fell to Kentucky by 11 in Lexington. However, they bounced back with a win over the weekend, defeating Vanderbilt.
The Volunteers only have one game this week, but it’s a huge matchup. They’ll travel to face Texas A&M in a showdown between two teams with 20-plus wins each.
7. Texas A&M (+2)
Texas A&M moved to 20-5 this past week. They defeated Arkansas on Saturday, sending John Calipari’s bunch home with an eight-point loss.

As they look to establish themselves atop the SEC, the Aggies have a shot this week. They’ll face Mississippi State and Tennessee this week.
8. Iowa State (+2)

Iowa State notched two sizable Big 12 wins this past week, defeating UCF and Cincinnati. That helped move their record to 20-5 on the season, and further improve their impressive resume.
They’ll get a bit of a reprieve this week to start, as they’ll face Colorado. However, this weekend they have to travel to take on Houston, so a chance to make a statement is in their hands.
9. St. John’s (-1)
St. John’s had been one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball, but they fell to Villanova on the road this past Wednesday. However, the Red Storm bounced back over the weekend, with a win over Creighton by six.
That helped mitigate the damage to their resume. This week, Rick Pitino and company are preparing for a clash with DePaul, followed by a rematch with UConn over the weekend.
10. Texas Tech (+2)
Texas Tech enters the top ten after a massive victory over the weekend — emphasis on massive. They defeated Oklahoma State by 38 points on the road, which gained the Red Raiders their 20th win of the season.
They’ll be on the road against TCU on Tuesday, before returning home to face West Virginia next weekend. A massive showdown with Houston looms large on Monday, Feb. 24.
