Coaches Poll Top 25 College Football Rankings released after Week 11
The latest Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings are in following Week 11 of college football and there were definitely some changes, as expected.
Alabama dominated LSU, Georgia was upset by Ole Miss, the Big Ten stayed stagnant and Miami suffered its first loss of the year! With just a few games remaining, it’s coming down to the wire.
Let’s dive into the latest Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings following Week 11.
1. Oregon
Oregon took care of business, 39-18 over Maryland at home. THe Ducks got three touchdown passes from Dillon Gabriel in a game where they cruised.
Oregon is still undefeated and at the top of the Big Ten. Hard to move off the top spot when you’re playing this efficiently.
2. Ohio State (+1)
Ohio State floored Purdue so there were no flashbacks to that upset at the hands of the Boilermakers and Rondale Moore. The Buckeyes’ lone loss is to Oregon, which is a slight notch above them.
Other than that game, it seems like Ohio State has been one of the most consistent teams in the country. The question is, can they beat Oregon in a potential rematch? Heck, are they going to beat Indiana in two weeks?
3. Texas (+2)
The Longhorns barely broke a sweat in a dominant win over a battered Florida team. The Gators were down to their third string quarterback for crying out loud.
Still, Quinn Ewers threw for 333 yards and five touchdowns and Arch Manning got some reps. Texas is rolling at the top of the SEC right now.
4. Tennessee (+2)
Tennessee cruised to a 33-14 win over Mississippi State at home but lost Nico Iamaleava to an injury after the first half. Josh Heupel said it was precautionary, so he’s TBD for next week.
All signs point to things being alright as Tennessee is quietly 8-1 with just one loss in the SEC. The conference looks pretty crowded at the top!
5. Penn State (+2)
Penn State had its get-right game against Washington didn’t they? The Huskies were overmatched in the White Out environment.
Drew Allar threw for 220 yards and a touchdown, completing 20-of-28 passes. Kaytron Allen led the way on the ground with 98 yards and a score in the 35-6 win.
6. Indiana (+4)
The Indiana wagon didn’t stop but it slowed down in a close win over Michigan at home. Still, the Hoosiers remained undefeated and Curt Cignetti is still the frontrunner for Coach of the Year.
Next up is Ohio State in two weeks and it’s the true measuring stick game for the season. If Indiana wins this, we might not stop at the Big Ten title, we might start thinking about a national title.

7. Notre Dame (+1)
Notre Dame can’t be stopped can they? Well, they played a bad Florida State team, beating them up 52-3.
Still, Marcus Freeman and crew are just taking care of business. Now 8-1, it seems the best path to the playoff is to finish 11-1 and wait for their seed in the bracket.
8. BYU (+1)
BYU won the Holy War but not without some controversy. Utah wasn’t happy losing by a point due to a timeout and holding call extending BYU’s final drive.
Still, the Cougars remained undefeated and at the top of the Big 12. They’re in the driver’s seat for a conference title and potential bye in the College Football Playoff.
9. Alabama (+2)
Alabama has a win over Georgia and now a dominant win over rival LSU. That was a get-right game if we’ve ever seen one.
Jalen Milroe didn’t dominate through the air, but had 185 yards on the ground to go with four touchdowns in a 42-13 win in Baton Rouge. Welcome back Crimson Tide.
10. Georgia (-8)
Georgia couldn’t figure it out on offense and Carson Beck threw another interception. He did not throw a touchdown in the 28-10 loss to Ole Miss.
The Bulldogs now have two SEC losses on the season so their playoff hopes are on thin ice. Good luck sorting out the potential mess in the conference by season’s end.
