USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 released after Week 11 of college football
The latest USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings were released after Week 11 of the college football regular season.
At this point, we know who the best teams are throughout the nation. But what’s the order? Well, there are clear cut teams at the top followed by some others who want their respect.
Let’s dive into the latest USA Today Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings after Week 11.
1. Georgia
It was close early on, but guess what? Georgia whalloped Ole Miss at home to get to 10-0 on the season and clinch a date with Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
Carson Beck tossed two touchdowns and 306 yards while Kendall Milton ran for 127 and two scores. Daijun Edwards added 59 yards and two touchdowns.
2. Michigan
The Wolverines ignored the noise surrounding the program and Jim Harbaugh and controlled the entire game against Penn State. This game belonged to Blake Corum on the ground.
Corum had 26 carries for 145 yards and two touchdowns. JJ McCarthy barely threw the football, but was seven-of-eight passing for 60 yards. Now 10-0, Michigan kept it rolling.
3. Ohio State
Naturally, Ohio State wanted to keep pace with Michigan over the weekend. So, the Buckeyes dominated Michigan State 38-3 to remain undefeated. We’re just two weeks away from The Game.
Kyle McCord threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns in one of his best games of the season. Marvin Harrison Jr. had seven catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns to keep his Heisman campaign alive.
4. Florida State
It was a little closer than anticipated, but Florida State edged out Miami 27-20 to remain undefeated. That’s right, don’t forget about the 10-0 Seminoles.
Jordan Travis threw for 265 yards and tossed a touchdown. Meanwhile, Trey Benson had another good one: 80 yards and two touchdowns. Make sure you keep FSU in mind when it comes to the playoff.
5. Washington
Washington needed another close call right? The Huskies edged Utah at home to remain undefeated as well, putting them at 10-0 and in step with the others.
We can’t wait for the impending rematch with Oregon for the Pac-12 title in a few weeks and the continuation of the Michael Penix Jr. Heisman campaign. The final weeks should be good.
6. Oregon
Speaking of Oregon, forget any talk of a USC comeback story, the Ducks are here to stay and they want a title. Also speaking of Heisman campaigns, hello Bo Nix.
Nix threw for 412 yards and four touchdowns and put last year’s winner, Caleb Williams, to shame, at least in this game. This is one of the most dangerous teams in America.
7. Texas
Phew, close call right here. Texas edged TCU 29-26 on the road to keep pace with other College Football Playoff teams and saw the return of Quinn Ewers.

He wasn’t great, but Ewers did throw for 317 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Jonathan Brooks added two touchdowns on the ground to go along with 104 yards.
8. Alabama
We would not want to play Alabama right now. No thank you, next team please. The 49-21 win over Kentucky was the latest example.
It might be time to start talking about Jalen Milroe as a Heisman contender or potential winner. This man scored six touchdowns, three through the air and three on the ground. One of Nick Saban’s best coaching jobs.
9. Louisville (+2)
Let’s not forget about Louisville, which won Thursday night over Virginia to get to 9-1 on the season. With two games left, the College Football Playoff conversation has to happen with the Cardinals.
What Jeff Brohm’s done with the program in his first year is nothing short of remarkable. The real test will be Florida State in an ACC Championship Game matchup.
10. Oregon State (+3)
Wow, Oregon State took it to Stanford Saturday night and it wasn’t even close. The 62-17 win highlighted quite the year for the Beavers.
Unfortunately, Oregon State has two losses, so you have to rule out the College Football Playoff. Still, gotta give credit to Jonathan Smith’s crew for making the top 10 rankings.
