College football has been full of excitement over the past two weekends. Last week’s action resulted in a seismic overhaul of the rankings, and this weekend could add to that even further. After Saturday’s games in Week 6, the new AFCA Coaches Poll Top 25 has been released.

It was a good weekend to be ranked in the top ten, with none of the top teams in the nation losing. No. 10 Penn State was on bye this week, but the other nine top ten teams in action last week came away with victories. No. 1 Alabama‘s victory was the smallest margin of all top ten teams, with the Crimson Tide surviving 24-20 against Texas A&M after a stand on the goal-line in the final seconds of the game. No. 7 Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech 41-31, but the other seven top ten teams won by an average of over 25 points.

Outside the top ten, there were six ranked teams to lose. Three of those came in top 25 matchups, though. No. 11 Utah fell 42-32 against No. 18 UCLA, while No. 19 Kansas lost its first game of the year, 38-31 against No. 17 TCU. No. 8 Tennessee also cruised through No. 25 LSU, defeating the newly-ranked Tigers 40-13.

No. 13 Kentucky lost against South Carolina, picking up its second loss in as many weeks after starting 4-0. No. 16 BYU also lost to unranked Notre Dame, handing the Cougars their second loss of the year. No. 21 Washington dropped its second game of the season, falling 45-38 against Arizona State.
