Coaches release preseason All-SEC baseball teams, pick to win the league

The 2024 preseason All-SEC baseball teams have been released and Arkansas is favored to win the conference, according to votes by the league’s coaches.

The Razorbacks finished with nine first-place votes in the SEC standings, while LSU trailed with three and Florida brought up the rear with two.

In addition to being picked to win the league, Arkansas had two players named to the first-team All-SEC squad: outfielder Kendall Diggs and pitcher Hagen Smith.

Florida dominated the All-SEC teams with five selections, including four on the first team. Jac Caglianone made the first team as a first baseman, while second baseman Cade Kurland, shortstop Colby Shelton and relief pitcher Brandon Neely rounded out the first-team choices. Caglianone also made the second team as a starting pitcher.

Defending national champion LSU had two selections, first-team third baseman Tommy White and second-team designated hitter and utility player Hayden Travinski.
