Coastal Carolina EDGE transfer Clev Lubin commits to Louisville
Coastal Carolina star EDGE transfer Clev Lubin has committed to Louisville, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Lubin is widely regarded as one of the best available pass-rushers in the NCAA transfer portal. Lubin spent just one season at Coastal Carolina and will have two years of eligibility remaining. As a freshman at Army in 2022, he redshirted.
This season, Clev Lubin finished with 44 total tackles, 24 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three pass deflections, one fumble recovery, three forced fumbles and one defensive touchdown.
He originally went to Iowa Western Community College in 2023 and led the team to an NJCAA D1 Football National Championship. Then, Lubin found his way to Coastal Carolina this season. He made and immediate impact, paving the way for a transfer portal jump to a bigger school.
Clev Lubin had previously discussed his decision to transfer after just one year with the Chanticleers.

“I would first like to give all glory to the most high for putting me in the situation I am in today,” Lubin wrote in his statement. “He has blessed me in so many ways through the ups and downs. Without him, none of this is possible.
“I want to thank the coaching staff and the community here at Coastal for giving me an opportunity to thrive in this environment. Thank you to my teammates for everything we did this year. Though our time was short, we’ve made moments that’ll last forever. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of guys to work beside. I’m forever grateful to be Chant.”
Clev Lubin’s statement continued:
“Finally, I would like to thank my family for their constant support through this journey,” Lubin said. “I know the love is endless and I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guys. With that being said, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with two years left of eligibility.”
